Vegan Sammiches
I've started a sammich makin' business, if you know people in the Park Slope area let them know that they can have vegan sammiches every day of the week. Here's the generic email I sent out:

Hi guys! Here is the menu for next week. Try to place orders for the whole week* by Friday. All sammiches come with a little side salad (potato salad, coleslaw, bean salad - whatever I feel like making) and are a measly $8. For offices put as many orders as you can in one email. Email your order to vegansammiches@gmail.com. Remember to include your address and phone number. Sammiches will be delivered between noon and 2 pm, but I will call you at around 11 to give you a more specific time. Feel free to forward the menu to whomever you think might be interested (so long as they are in the Park Slope area, because it's just me and a shopping cart!)

Happy Sammiches!
ox Isa

Vegan Sammiches Menu July 17 - 21

Monday:
Chili Corn Crusted Tofu Po'boy
Cornmeal battered lightly fried tofu, shredded lettuce, tomatoes on French bread with a mildly spicy chipotle tartar sauce.

Tuesday:
Portobello Basil Sandwich
Grilled portobellos, fresh basil, red onion and fresh tomatoes on French bread, with roasted garlic mayonnaise.

Wednesday
Avocado Caesar Wrap
Red leaf lettuce tossed in a creamy Caesar dressing, wrapped around plenty of avocado and tomatoes in a spinach wrap.

Thursday
Tempeh Reuben
Grilled lemon tempeh, sauerkraut and avocado on rye bread with thousand island dressing.

Friday
BBQ Seitan & Coleslaw
Spicy BBQ Seitan and creamy coleslaw in a hero.

*Most likely I will be flexible with this but you should include your order for the entire week. So if you're in an office your email might look like...
Monday - 4 sammiches
Tuesday - 6 sammiches
Wednesday - 3 sammiches
Thursday - 2 billion sammiches
Friday - 1 sammich

Uniforms for the new business

So I just had this image of your future franchise spreading all over the globe, al la McD's. The uniform - an empty potato sack with head and arm holes cut out, no shoes. The employees don't comb or wash their hair. No bathing for like a week. Some cheap mouthwash splashed on(drank) as a cologne(intoxicant). Pushing shopping carts full of brown bags down the road, muttering to themselves or their invisible friends/angels/demons/leprechauns/phairies/elves/(insert cultural equivalent here). Followed around by a halo of flies. Love y'all. Best of luck.

Wow, you nailed it! The messed up thing is that we'd still be about 3 steps more dignified than someone in a McDonald's uniform.

You might call it "Udder Welt". Like a universe where every atom was a microbreast. The fabric of existence would be a vitual Hooters. And it's said "Philly Cheese Steak". Not "Feely Jizz Tick". Ghotdam Green Card Totin' Sons of @#$%&*'s.

Hey lady, I don't know if you got the e-mail I sent you (via the PPK boards) last weekend, but if not, the short version is that I will be in Park Slope tomorrow night and wanted to invite you to join me at an art opening. If you did get the e-mail, you've been expecting this.

See you tomorrow, maybe?

Hey Isa, want to come to Chicago and bring me a sammich? Actually a little north of Chicago. Or close to my house?

Can you just come to my house and bring me a sammich? I'll make you a cake, some cookies and cupcakes too. <3

I am a native Brooklynite, born and raised from the Slope! Back in the day, you couldn't say vegetarian without some negative comments from people! Now, Brooklyn is becoming a great vegan/vegetarian place to be. I now live in the Bay Area, Ca which I can't really complain about not finding veggie food!

By the way, I love veggie sammiches.
Hope to stop by there the next time I come home to Bklyn. Good luck to you.
