Some lovin' from the oven
Here is the tentative list for bake sale items tomorrow night, get there early to secure your cupcake!

Hoe cakes (Vegan Hostess cupcakes, if you can think of a better name by all means...)
Lemon Cupcakes
Strawberry Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
Banana Brownies
Chocolate Raspberry Bars
Crumb Cake
Ginormous Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ginormous Ginger Sparkle Cookies
Ginormous Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies
Carrot Ginger Cake with Coconut Icing

Who knows, more stuff might appear. I think everything will be 2 dollars, and then we will beg for donations. We'll have dvds for sale as well but unfortunately the t-shirts aren't ready yet.

I'm excited to see everyone there, and if you are someone I only know online make sure you introduce yourself. I have social anxiety disorder as well, I'm sure we'll have a great conversation that we'll both regret.

Hey Isa!

I tried to email you with the gmail address you gave me before, but it bounced back!

Is the address isa at gmail com? Maybe I just need to try it again.

Is there going to be a Hoe Cake recipe in the new book?

I'm drooling just looking at that list.

I admit to being a pay pal dunce -- how do I tell pay pal I want to pay you $22 US instead of $20 to have you ship the DVD to Canada?

You know, I have no idea. I usually just tell people the extra amount and then they make 2 payments.

Such a good thing I live on the west coast. I can avoid awesome bake sales that would have me gorged on cookies and hoe cakes.

didn't Dolly Madison bake some similar treats to the Hostess line called Zingers?

Ho cakes. . . didn't they cook up Ho-cakes in I'm Gonna Git You Sucka? "Ho's gotta eat to."

whattabout the ad campaigns for those things? If you could get the the Indian from the thought to be extinct Ding Dong tribe you would have a real winner. The other campaign one was only less offensive racially speaking, it still was pretty insulting to people of mediocre intelligence. The campaign was akin to those ads where they equated the purchase of a joint to blowing up the world trade center. The basic set up had some bad guys or super villians getting away from some super hero, that is until a young boy and girl suggests they they give them Hostess snack cakes because they cannot be resisted.

Maybe this is something that you could use to promote the PPK and Patriotism. Lies no matter how poorly delivered or grandiose are willing to be accepted, forget the health, ethical, and environmental angle regarding the vegan diet. Just lie, the more creative the better. here's one to get you started -- terrorists have contaminated our meat because they are jealous of our freedom.

Ho-Cakes!

how about a play on Hostess?

out

Ach, Isa! I can't make it tonight. I am broke beyond broke. I tried to keep a little cash aside so I could go out and play tonight, and then one of my clients flaked on my paycheck, so I'm a few hundred short of where I should be, and rent is due on Monday, and... Oy, I think I'm just going to go to bed now, because this day has just gotten worse and worse.

But when that check comes in, you have to let me treat you to lunch.
